Here we go again! After a great month of riding and local fundraising projects for superb things such as pump tracks and new trail assets, a very successful ATA social ride and a well deserved break from the tools the ATA are back in action with a brilliant new project.
Please follow this link to sign up to a trail maintenance session on Chutney Nudger, near Birse, Aboyne. This is one of the most popular trails in the region and much loved by competitors at the recent Doon Tha Brae race event.
We shall be meeting at the forest carpark at the trail foot at 9:30-10:00am and aiming to be finished by 14:30. All you need to bring are your positive vibes, stout footwear, suitable outdoor clothing, a bite to eat and fluid to drink. The ATA provide all your tools, hi-vis and working gloves. If you are new to trail work, there are plenty of trained coordinators and experienced volunteers to share knowledge.
This event is special as it heralds a new initiative from land mangers, Birse Community Trust, to work with the ATA to improve their trail network, thus promoting visitor experience and local economies. It would be fantastic to have you along to share the event and invest some love in this iconic trail.
